It is necessary to address the larger, often underlying issues, that lead to violence. I think respect is a great place to start.
They Norwegians aren’t making any American conservative friends. First the PM calls for human solidarity with no mention of god and now the mayor of Oslo dismisses more security in favor of respect. In America, we do the opposite: dismiss human solidarity in favor of appeals to the super natural and we define “respect” as sympathy for the enemy.
America(ns) will always do what is wrong. In the words of George Carlin “they got bigger dicks than us? Kill em!”
